What is Pre-Krete?

Pre-Krete is a corrosion-resistant lining for open and closed plain steel vessels. It forms a rock-hard, monolithic barrier that can prevent or cure corrosion problems. Pre-Krete is not cement or epoxy.

In hot water tanks, cement tank linings start crumbling after a year because cement can't handle the expansion and contraction caused by heating and cooling. Loose cement in a hot water system can cause serious issues in drains and pipes, leading to potentially high repair costs and extended downtown for your system.

Epoxy tank linings blister after about a year. As these blisters peel, the exposed steel begins to corrode. Once corrosion starts, you'll start seeing the dreaded brown water that brings complaints from building tenants.

Pre-Krete, on the other hand, is a superior tank lining product to cement and epoxy. Pre-Krete was developed in the 1950's specifically for tank lining applications. Pre-Krete is five times more durable than cement and tolerates expansion and contraction better than cement. Pre-Krete excels above epoxy which flakes away. Unlike cement and epoxy linings, once you install a Pre-Krete tank lining, you can close up your tank and almost never worry about it again.
